JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Cook, you will prepare various tasks in the kitchen; preparing food and ingredients while ensuring consistency, operating and cleaning kitchen equipment, working on plate preparation and maintaining cleanliness of the kitchen and service areas.

What you can help us do: Exceed our guests’ expectations by preparing delicious meals that will delight our guests with their taste and timely delivery.

Your every day:
  • Prepare all menu items in quantities according to menu and number of persons to be served.
  • Visually inspect all dishes to ensure a consistent, high-quality level of product and presentation.
  • Assist in menu planning; taking advantage of foods in season and local availability.
  • Responsible for station set-up, breakdown, and all advance prep work.
  • Keep all refrigeration and storage areas clean and in working condition to comply with Health Department guidelines.
  • Responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of work station, kitchen and service areas.
  • Assist in dishwashing responsibilities as needed.
What you need to perform this job successfully:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); minimum of 1 year certificate from college or technical school; or 3-6 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of kitchen equipment and utensils.
  • Ability to understand and carry out detailed written and/or verbal instructions independently.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and effectively manage multiple priorities in a demanding work environment.
  • Required to walk and stand throughout the majority of each shift.
  • Required to regularly lift 20-40 pounds.
