JOB DESCRIPTION
Assist the Executive Housekeeper with all of the departmental functions and concerns.

What you can help us do:
This position is responsible for assisting the Executive Housekeeper in maintaining; established cleaning standards, payroll standards and training standards.

Your every day: list job responsibilities
Assist with training and coaching of the housekeeping and laundry staff.
Conduct daily standup meetings on the absence of the executive housekeeper.
Inspects and evaluates the physical condition of the guest rooms’ furniture, fixtures, and décor.
Ensures that work orders initiated by housekeeping department are reported and completed.
Distributes and delegates workload to guarantee maximum production and guest satisfaction by monitoring house count and making staffing adjustments accordingly.
Supports the Hotel Lost & Found program, provides accurate records and ensures follow-up with guests as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Inspects the cleaning and servicing of guest rooms.
Assigns special assignments as directed by the Executive Housekeeper.
Ensures that all house persons/room attendants have appropriate supplies and linens.
Assists in the cleaning of guest rooms when necessary.
Assists in processing AM and PM room status reports.
Ensures that the room attendant cart is neat and well organized.
Ensures that linen closets on guest room floors are stocked.
Covers for the Executive Housekeeper during any absences.
May be required to review, enter and verify employee hours.

What you need to perform this job successfully: list qualifications (ie. College degree, experience, etc.)
At least two years of housekeeping experience at a hotel.
Supervisory experience preferred.
Ability to communicate in English both verbally and written.
Must be computer literate.
Knowledge of budgeting process.
Familiar with purchasing supplies in housekeeping.
Ability to read and assess financial statements preferred.
Familiar with labor laws preferred.
