JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Room Attendant, you are responsible for cleaning the hotel guest rooms and bathrooms and replenishing them with linens, supplies and other guest room amenities. The Room Attendant also reports maintenance issues that need attention in the guestroom and thus insures that all guestrooms are in perfect working order. As a representative of the hotel, the Room Attendant is expected to respond in a timely, helpful and friendly manner to our guest’s requests.
What you can help us do: Keep our hotel in a clean and working order by providing exceptional quality housekeeping services and contributing to the overall guest experience.

  • Your every day:
  • Clean the guest rooms including dusting, vacuuming and polishing.
  • Replenishes supplies such as drinking glasses, writing supplies and bathroom necessities.
  • Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies, and dusts furniture.
  • Washes walls, ceiling, woodwork, windows, door panels and sills.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the Housekeeping storage and laundry areas.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the corridors on the guest floors.
  • Use appropriate cleaning chemicals for designated surfaces, according to OSHA regulations and hotel requirements.
  • Greet guests in a friendly and courteous manner during all interactions. Handle all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism.
  • Respond to guest inquiries.
  • Ensure any lost and found items are properly recorded according to the Lost and Found Policy.
  • Perform additional special cleaning projects and/or duties as assigned
  • Ensure all vital information is passed on to the Housekeeping Supervisor, i.e. room damage, lost and found, routine maintenance, etc.

What you need to perform this job successfully:

  • Experience in Hotel housekeeping preferred.
  • Ability to perform well in a high-pressured work environment.
  • Pays attention to detail.
  • Dependability, timeliness and high levels of Professionalism
  • Team player who proactively looks for ways to enhance the level of service provided to the guests.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidences and guest privacy.
  • Effective communication capabilities demonstrating sound judgment.
  • Ability to respond to questions from guests offering appropriate options or resolutions.
  • Required to walk and stand throughout the majority of each shift.
  • Required to lift up to 50 pounds.
