What you can help us do: Secures the Hotel against theft, fire, vandalism, and illegal entry by providing prompt, courteous and efficient handling of all guest requests to insure quality satisfaction while maintaining a safe workplace.

Your every day:
  • Periodically patrols on foot the buildings and grounds to ensure all is safe and secure.
  • Examines doors, windows, gates, etc. making sure they are secure.
  • Warns violators of rule infractions such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles, and detains or expels persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts.
  • Contacts and works with local law enforcement as needed.
  • Watches for and reports irregularities such as safety/ fire hazards, leaking water pipes, and doors left unlocked.
  • Observes departing personnel to guard against theft of Company property.
  • Mans the security office every two hours by rotation observing CCTV monitors and Fire Panel.
  • Sounds alarm or calls police or fire department by telephone in case of fire or presence of criminal acts.
  • Permits only authorized persons to enter property.
  • Accurately and thoroughly records data such as property damage, unusual occurrences, and malfunctioning of machinery or equipment, etc. in daily reports and/or incident reports for use of Management staff.
  • Assists injured workers with filling out the first report of injury packet, ensuring that all pertinent documents are completed timely and accurately.
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed.
What you need to perform this job successfully:
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Required to walk and stand throughout the majority of each shift.
  • Required to regularly lift up to 25 pounds.
